Mary H. Nave, 97, of US Route 220, Bedford, died early Saturday morning, March 17, 2012 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home.  She was born December 9, 1914 in Helixville, a daughter of the late Avery and Henrietta (Bence) Hinson.  On February 21, 1934 in Cumberland, MD, she married Ellis W. “Jeff” Nave and he preceded her in death on March 24, 1999.  She is survived by three daughters; Dot wife of Ernie Imgrund of Manns Choice, Shirley, widow of S. Paul Adams of Johnstown, Kate wife of Sam Foreman of Bedford and a son Jim Nave married to the former Rose Mary “Lu” McCellan of Bedford.  Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren and a brother Merle Hinson and wife Rita of Clearville.  She was preceded in death by an infant son John, a grandson Jeff Nave, a great grandson Eric Schubert, four brothers, Arol, Floyd, John and Clair Hinson and a sister Ruth Smith.

Mary was a member of Burning Bush United Methodist Church.  She was a farmer’s wife that enjoyed cooking and baking, and also served as a 4-H leader for many years.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, with Grace Whitfield officiating.  Burial at Woods Church Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Monday from 3-5 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Those wishing may make contributions to the Woods Church Cemetery, c/o RMPU Cemetery Assoc., Nancy Harclerode, 2256 Diehl Road, Bedford, PA 15522.
