Mary L. Loar

Mary L. Loar 89, of Cumberland Valley, died Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at Pennknoll Village.  She was born on December 29, 1934 in Westernport, MD a daughter of the late George and Edith Marie (Shillingburg) Gordon.  She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Virgil C. Loar Jr.; two siblings: Betty Rankin, of Cumberland, MD, and Harry Gordon, of Westernport, MD; a nephew John Rankin and wife Jessica; and a niece Debbie Benson; 5 great-nieces; 4 great-nephews; a sister-in-law Sue Cook; and caretaker and close friends, Paul Tew and Tina Spano.  Mary was a devote Christian with a gentle nature.  She loved her family and was a faithful and loving wife to Virgil.
