Mary Ann (Imgrund) Clingerman

Mary Ann Clingerman 86, of Bedford, died Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Bedford Colonial Courtyard.  She was born on August 15, 1934 in Bedford, a daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Heming) Imgrund.  On August 18, 1956 in Bedford at the St. Thomas Catholic Church, she married Charles O. Clingerman and he preceded her in death on January 2, 2020.  She is survived by the following family: two sons: James F. Clingerman married to the former Terri Mobus, of Hollidaysburg, and Timothy Charles Clingerman married to the former Tammy Ickes, of Bedford; three daughters: Rose Mary “Rosie” Leppert and husband Wynn, of Bedford, Theresa A. Keller and husband Tim, of Bedford, and Sue Ann “Moe” Spigler and husband Brian, of Chambersburg; eight grandchildren: Steven, Joshua, Taylor, Tiffany, Eric, Jonathan, Morgan, and Quinton; ten great-grandchildren: Andan, Alexandra, Hank, Ava, Evan, Case, Tenley, Molly, Taya, and Charlotte; five sisters Peggy Clevenger of Fishertown; Monica Imgrund of York; and Rose Marie DeKoning, of Altoona; Judith Butler of York; and Veronica Cessna of Bedford; two brothers: Thomas Imgrund of Everett; and  Michael Imgrund of Notre Dame, IN.  She was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Clingerman.

Mary Ann was a 1952 graduate of Bedford High School and a 1955 graduate of Sacred Heart School of Nursing in Cumberland, MD.  She retired as an OB Nurse from the Memorial Hospital of Bedford.  Mary Ann was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.  She enjoyed flower gardening, shopping, canning, spending time with her grandchildren and sitting on the front porch swing

Due to the COVID 19 restrictions Mass of Christian Burial will be private with internment at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery.  Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mary Ann’s name to UPMC Family Hospice, 20 Sheraton Dr., Altoona, PA 16602, or Bedford County Library, 240 S.
