Mary V. (Bucklew) Zembower

Mary V. Zembower 103, of Cumberland Valley, died Saturday December 5, 2020 at Bedford Colonial Courtyard.  She was born on March 24, 1917 in Terra Alta, WV a daughter of the late Hilton A. and Etta (Rexroad) Bucklew.  On November 13, 1936 in Oakland, MD she married Willard I. Zembower, who preceded her in death on April 29, 2008.  She is survived by a son, James A. Zembower and wife Sandra, of Bedford; six grandchildren: Mark Zembower and wife Linda, Lisa Henry and husband Marty, Jamie Zembower, Ginger Welsh and husband Charlie, Robin Foor and husband Randy, and Gary Zembower and wife Nicole; thirteen great-grandchildren; and twenty-five great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son, Willard Max Zembower; two brothers: Gerald and Max Bucklew, two sisters: Eleanor Zembower and Geraldine Sims; and a daughter, Janet Zembower.

Mary worked for Howard Johnsons and retired from Lane Metals as a bookkeeper. Mary served as the financial secretary for the former Providence Lutheran Church, and was also on the church council, choir and taught Sunday School.  She was a current member of Trinity Lutheran Church.  Mary could be found dancing with Wit at many clubs in the area every Saturday night.  She was very good at knitting, walked every day, and had a garden and canned vegetables every summers.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements by the Timothy A.
