Martha L. (Reichenbach) Horn

Martha L. Horn, 91, of Bedford, died Monday, December 26, 2016, at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home. She was born on December 29, 1924, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Jonathan H. and Nora (Aucker) Reichenbach. On July 12, 1952 in Sunbury, she married Samuel H. Horn and he preceded her in death on May 10, 2006. She is survived by a son Jonathan D. Horn of Bedford, a daughter, Donna J. Horn of Desloge, MO,  a son,  Timothy A. Horn of Bedford;  four grandchildren:  Logan and Aaron Horn, Jessica Jones and husband Larry, and Jason Stalland; one great grandson, Ethan Jones; and one sister, Virginia Reichenbach. She was preceded in death by two brothers:  Eugene and Lee Reichenbach.

Martha was a member of the Bedford Presbyterian Church.  She retired in 1988 as a Dietary Supervisor at Bedford Memorial Hospital, prior to that she worked at Reading Hospital and Donahoe Manor. She was a member with her husband of the Flying Boots and Petticoats square dancing group.  She also liked to sew and do the daily crossword puzzles and cryptoquotes. She was a kind and thoughtful woman, a great Mother in all aspects, and she will be sadly missed by those who loved her.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at 3:00 p.m., in the chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Earl Stewart officiating. Friends will be received on Sunday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
