Marlene B. Saunders

Marlene B. Saunders, 75, of W. John Street, Bedford, died Sunday, March 1, 2015, at UPMC Altoona Hospital. She was born on October 20, 1939, in Charleroi, a daughter of the late Ferdinand and Clara (DeBruxelle) Bethem. On August 6, 1960, in Charleroi, she married William J. Saunders, who survives along with the following family: two sons: William Saunders and wife Shelly, of Bedford, Brad Saunders and wife Beth, of Ft. Thomas, KY; two daughters Shari wife of Mark Clevenger, of Fishertown, and Karyn Saunders, of Bedford; five grandchildren: Kirstie, Jessica, Marlee, Bryan, and Bess; a brother, Walter Bethem, of Houston, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Edmund and Wilbert Bethem, and two sisters: Felicia Gluvna, and Evelyn McMurray.
Mrs. Saunders was a member of the Crossroads Bible Church, and retired from Letrents Pharmacy, after 27 years as a pharmacy clerk. She was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, enjoyed family trips to the beach, and adored her grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., at the Crossroads Bible Church, with Pastor Mark Dillow, officiating. Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.
