Marion E. "Marnie" (Carter) Beatty

Marion “Marnie” Beatty 74, of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021 with her family by her side.  She was born in 1947; Marnie was a graduate of Edinboro State.  She spent her career teaching 7th grade at Chestnut Ridge School District. Her favorite saying was, “The best thing about 7th graders is they will try anything. The worst thing is they will try anything.”  She will be missed by all who knew her.

Marnie was preceded in passing and joins her parents Warren and Audrey and her sister Pamela. She is survived by her husband James Beatty, her three children and their spouses: Ryan and Leigh Ann Beatty, Jennifer and James Zendek, Charles and Bethany Beatty; as well as her five grandchildren: Emma, Brilynn, Owen, Aubrey, and Alivia.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., at the St. Thomas Catholic Church, in Bedford, with Father Derek Fairman Celebrant.  Burial will be private.  Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to: Bedford County Library, 240 S.
