Marika "Gaby" Good

Marika G. “Gaby” Good, 50 of Fyan Lane, Bedford died Monday, December 14, 2015, at her residence.  She was born on April 3, 1965 in Tuna, Sweden a daughter of the late Fred Hammerström, and Elsy Hammerström, surviving of Sundsvall, Sweden.  On August 2, 1997 at the Old Bedford Village Church, in Bedford she married Steven C. Good, who survives along with a son, Alexander Good, at home, and a step-daughter Kerri Good, of Virginia; one step-grandson, Haddon Good; two sisters, Angeta Wiklund, and husband Lief, of Sundsvall, Sweden, and Ignela Birkeland, of Elsfjord, Norway; a sister-in-law, Suzie Layton, and husband Tim, of Myrtle Beach, SC, a mother-in-law Doris K. Good; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gaby held a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Sweden, and was a TSS.  She was a terrific artist, and had her work exhibited at Locality in Bedford.  She helped with the plays at Old Bedford Village, and was responsible for bringing the “Dinner for One” play from Europe to America.  Gaby enjoyed going to Boy Scout and Soccer events with her son Alex.  She will be remembered as always smiling, being very optimistic, and making the best Swedish meatballs.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor John Bennet, officiating.  Friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Friday.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com
