Margaret B. Press

Margaret B. Press, 81, of Barclay Street, Bedford, died Thursday, January 8, 2015 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. She was born on August 26, 1933, in Wilbur, a daughter of the late John and Rosella (Nagyitsky) Balogh. On May 21, 1950, in New York, she married David D. Press who preceded her in death on September 4, 1980.  She is survived by five sons: Lawrence “Larry” Press of Bedford, Michael  Press of Bedford, Daniel  Press of York, Steve Press and wife Louita of Bedford, Craig Press and wife Heidi of Bedford; one daughter, Laura Press of Gainesville, FL; eight grandchildren:  Christina, Michelle, Michael, Megan, Kaitlyn, David, Amanda, and Samantha; five great grandchildren; four brothers: Michael Balogh and wife Joann, Steven Balogh and wife Leelah, Robert Sekeres and wife Molly all of MI, and David Sekeres and wife Joann of NY.   She was preceded in death by two grandchildren Lawrence “Larry II” and Jessica Press, three brothers Andy, John, and Joseph Balogh, two sisters: Mary and Julie Kovach.

Margaret was the former member of the Eastern Star and former owner of Bedford Carpets and Modern Carpets in New York.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 12, 2015, at 2:30 p.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.  Burial at Everett Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Saturday from 12-2 and 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home. Arrangements by the Timothy A.
