Margaret B. O'Shurak

Margaret B. Dumbauld O’Shurak, 87 of Donahue Manor Road, Bedford, died Friday, June 4, 2010 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home.  She was born April 12, 1923 in Glenshaw, daughter of the late George L. and Olive (Simpson) Dumbauld.  On  October 7, 1950,  she married Dr. William H. O’Shurak, who survives along with their three children; M. Eileen wife of Gerard Lavelle of Harrisburg, William D. O’Shurak, married to the former Sherry Smith of Moon Township, (Pittsburgh) and Judith L wife of Robert McMillen of Palmyra, three grandchildren; Zachary O’Shurak, George W. Lavelle, Nicole Lavelle and a step-granddaughter Kelsey McMillen.  Also surviving is a brother George L. Dumbauld and wife Carolyn of Annapolis, MD.

Marge was a graduate of Shaler High School in Pittsburgh and Hood College in Fredrick, MD and had a B.S. in Home Economics. She was a member of the Bedford Presbyterian Church since 1953, a member of the Order of the Easter Star, the Bedford County Youth Advisory. In addition, she was a member of Bedford Women’s Investment Club, AAUW, and the Bedford County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.  Marge dearly loved her family and special friends and enjoyed music, dancing, traveling, photography, playing bridge, and special trips into the city of Pittsburgh.

Funeral Services: Monday, June 7, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. Barry Vance and Brett Hoover officiating.  Burial at Allegheny Memorial Park near Pittsburgh.  Friends will be received on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday morning at the funeral home.
