Margaret P. Dimond

Margaret P. Dimond, 87 of Pennknoll Village, formerly of Upper Snake Spring Valley Road, Everett, died Friday, November 6, 2009 at Pennknoll.  She was born February 12, 1922 in Clappertown, daughter of the late Leroy A. and Frances T. (Beach) Stotler.  On August 19, 1945 in Loysburg, she married Mahlon U. Dimond and he preceded her in death on March 26, 2005.  She is survived\ by two sons:  Mahlon U. Dimond married to the former Susan Jane Shoemaker of Bedford, and their two daughters; Katie wife of Chad M. Lakatoch of Zion, and Marcie E Dimond of State College.  A second son, Rodney L. Dimond married to the former Vicki J. Beegle of Enville, TN and their two daughters; Erin J. Garrard and Claire M. wife of Derrick Frazier, both of Savannah, TN. Also surviving are three great grandchildren;  Kelsie and Kade Garrard and Leah Lakatosh.  She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Frances Lee Stotler.

Mrs. Dimond was a member of the Snake Spring Valley Church of the Brethren.  She enjoyed her family, singing, playing the piano and cooking for family gatherings.

Funeral Services: Monday, November 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, with Rev. Janet Sell officiating.  Burial in the New Enterprise Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Snake Spring Valley Church of the Brethren, 1411 Lower Snake Spring Valley Road, Everett, PA 15537 or the Raystown Ambulance Service, 4 East South St., Everett, PA 15537 in her memory.  Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
