Mable V. (Foor) Rhodes-Steele

Mable V. Rhodes-Steele, 92, of Bedford, died Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home.  She was born on April 19, 1924 in Osterburg, a daughter of the late Daniel V. and Mary B. (Swope) Foor.  On September 3, 1941 she married Oden G. Rhodes, who preceded her in death on August 25, 1973.  In May of 1977, she married Floyd B. Steele who also preceded her in death in September of 1984.  She is survived by the following family: Delores wife of Ronald Bulger, of Everett, Phyllis College, of Bedford, and Ronald “Buck” Rhodes, married to the former Randa Perdew, of Everett; numerous grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons:  Vincent, William and Robert Rhodes, one granddaughter, Michelle Williams, one great grandson Jordan Tosten.  Mable was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Mabel was affiliated with the Village Assembly of God Church, in Bedford and retired from Lion Manufacturing in Everett.

A memorial services will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 3:00 p.m., at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor David Wright officiating. Burial will be private.
