Lynn A. Ickes Jr., 47 of New Paris, died on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born on June 16, 1976, in Roaring Spring, a son of the late Lynn A. Ickes Sr. and Diana J. (Hepner) Ickes-Corle who survives of New Paris. On April 4, 1998 in Wing Gap, he married Rachel (Phillips) Ickes and she survives along with four daughters: Alana, Kezia, Josie and Aubree Ickes all at home; two sisters, Joni K. Mowry of Pottsville, and Nicole D. Williams and husband Darren of Statesville, NC; two brothers, Bradley A. Ickes and wife Valerie of Osterburg, and Corey S. Ickes and wife Lindsey of Schellsburg; He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Jospeh and Shirley Hepner and paternal grandparents, Anson and Betty Ickes.
Lynn was a member, trustee and Sunday school teacher at Trinity Bible Holiness Church in Pleasantville. He graduated from Chestnut Ridge High School in 1994 and worked for JLG for over 27 years mostly at the weber lane facility. He loved his family, hunting and going to auctions.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Bible Holiness Church, 3522 Quaker Valley Road, Alum Bank, with Rev. Chad Hunting officiating. Burial will follow at Fishertown Cemetery. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford and 1 hour prior to the service at the Church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to his family/girls to Trinity Bible Holiness Church, 347 Wayne Blvd., Alum Bank, PA 15521.
