Luther A. Simmons

Luther Austin Simmons 84 of Valley Road, Bedford, died Thursday June 22, 2000 at Select Specialty Hospital in Johnstown. He was born April 3, 1916 in Rough Run, West Virginia son of the late Clarence J. and Della (Borror) Simmons. On May 31, 1958 he married Mary S. Heming and she preceded him in death on July 31, 1995. He is survived by his caregivers: Krista Rolland and Les Guant. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Mr. Simmons was affiliated with Yeager Memorial Lutheran Church and had been a member of the Woods Church Assoc. He was a lifelong farmer in Colerain TWP.
Funeral Services: Saturday 11:00 AM from the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with the Rev. Karen Wright officiating. Burial in the Woods Church Cemetery. Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
