Lou Ann (Probst) Hartwiger

Lou Ann Hartwiger 61, of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 after a brief illness of respiratory failure.  She was born on April 10, 1955 in Lock Haven, a daughter of the late Earl Probst, and Patricia (Newman) Probst, surviving of Lock Haven.  On January 20, 1984 in Lock Haven she married the love of her life Mike Hartwiger who survives of Bedford, along with a sister Karen Flatico and husband Steve of Lock Haven, Kelly and Todd Losch of Howard, Mel and Pam Newman of West Palm Beach, FL, sister-in-law Mary Witt of Houston, TX; best friends Kay and Tom Barnhart, of Lock Haven, along with numerous other relatives.  She was preceded in death by her father, and grandparents Susan and Webber Newman, and Earl and Gram Probst.

Lou Ann graduated from the Lock Haven High School in 1973, and the Williamsport Area Community College in 1975.  She was forced to take a medical retirement from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg in 2009 after 35 years of service.  Lou Ann was an avid Sprint Car and Late Model fan and attended many races with her husband.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
