Linda N. Way

Linda N. Way, 66 of Barclay Drive, Bedford, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at her home.  She was born October 18, 1944 in Wiley Ford, WV, daughter of the late Jacob and Mae (Brandt) Nield.  On January 17, 1992, in Winchester, VA, she married H. Eugene “Buster” Way, and he survives along with two daughters; Lori A. wife of Stephen Black of Bedford and Wendi S. wife of Philip Long of Oxford, two grandchildren; Jacob T. Black and Zoe M. Long.  Also surviving is a sister Carol, wife of William O’Connell of Barboursville, WV and a brother Gary Nield of Cumberland, MD.  She was preceded in death by two sisters; Jackie Potter and Patricia Bible, and two brothers; Ronald and Richard Nield.

Linda was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and had worked as a secretary for IU8 and Bedford Borough.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, and called her “GiGi”.

Funeral services; Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. Donna Wolfinger officiating.  Private burial at Osterburg Community Cemetery.
