Linda M. (Brior) Meyers

Linda Meyers, 67, of Bedford, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home. She was born on January 16, 1949, in Fountain Hill, a daughter of the late Franklin J. and Jennie (Snyder) Brior. On September 18, 1971, in Nazareth, she married Jeffrey B. Meyers who preceded her in death on May 19, 2009.  They shared  37 years of marriage together prior to his death. She is survived by a sister in law, Adele, wife of Stan Dodds of Big Piney, WY; a niece, Stacy Bateman, also of Big Piney, WY; a nephew, Trent Dodds of Sewell, NJ; several cousins, including, Carroll Gower of Nazareth, PA; and three great-nieces, one great-nephew, and one step-niece.

Linda was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Friends Cove, where she served on the church consistory and was church pianist for many years. She graduated in 1969 from the Allentown Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.  Linda and her husband, who served in the Army, relocated many times.  She worked in several hospitals in PA, as well as hospitals in Santa Fe, NM; Columbus, GA; and Louisville, KY.  She retired as a 3 to 11 p.m. Shift Nursing Supervisor from UPMC Bedford Memorial.

Linda, a cancer survivor, wished to express fond appreciation for the loving care extended to her by the staff of UPMC Bedford Memorial, Carroll's Rest Home, and Donahoe Manor.  She also wished to publicly thank her many wonderful friends who assisted her in countless ways over the years.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Pastor Paul Claycomb officiating.  Burial at Trinity UCC Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Thursday 1 hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Trinity United Church of Christ, 6701 Main Road, Bedford, PA 15522.
