Lillian L. Bornscheuer, 80, of Ritchey Ave, Bedford, died Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home. She was born on February 28, 1931, in Bedford, a daughter, of the late Walter K. and Hulda (Browning) McKinley. In Winchester, VA, she married Jerome T. Bornscheuer and he preceded her in death on June 3, 1970. She is survived by two sons Jay Bornscheuer of Bedford, and Lee Bornscheuer married to the former Paula Snavely of Laurel, MD, two grandchildren, Zachary and Lauren, two sisters: Charlotte M., widow of J. Roy Thomas of Linthicum, MD, Judy, wife of Kenneth Wright of Bedford, two brothers, B. Fred McKinley, married to the former Cynthia Beegle, Gregg McKinley, widow of Dorothy Yingling both of Bedford, eight nieces and nephews, one great niece and one great great niece. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Walter and Frank McKinley, and one sister Barbara McKinley.
She was a member of the Bedford United Methodist Church. She retired after 20 years as a cook for the Bedford Area School District and she also helped sell tickets for the athletic events. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends for her witty sarcasm.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with the Rev. Jeff Welsch officiating.
