Leta S. (Stratford) Gilbert

Leta S. Gilbert 90, of Crossvile, TN, died Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Bedford Colonial Courtyard. She was born on October 13, 1926 in Swickley, a daughter of the late Charles H. and Violet E. (Griffin) Stratford. On June 18, 1966, in Avalon, she married Robert L. Gilbert who preceded her in death in 2001. She is survived by a son, James V. Williams III, of Greensboro, NC, and a daughter, Wendy Romeo, widow of Ronald, of Bedford; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary E. Rath.
Mrs. Gilbert, was a member of the Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church, and was an avid bowler, golfer, and card player.
