Leona Border 91 of Sweet Root Road, Bedford, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born April 11, 1916 in Portage, daughter of the late Simon and Erma (Nolan) Kause. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Border. She is survived by five children: Audrey Krise of Windber, Ronald Border of Bedford, Joan wife of John Jezeskie of Alum Bank, Donald Border married to the former Kaye Morgan and Richard Border married to the former Debbie Oldham both of Bedford, 29 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Juanita and Lorraine, one grandson Rick Border, two great grandchildren, three brothers Fred Kause, Russell Kause husband of Jane of Windber, Leo Kause husband of Margaret of Virginia and a sister Elizabeth Barrett wife of Pete Barrett of Windber.
Funeral services: Friday 11:00 am from the Berkey Brethren Church in Windber with Rev. Earl Crissman officiating. Burial in the Church Cemetery.
