Leona A. Belles

Leona A. Belles, 78, of Alum Bank, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.  She was born on December 15, 1929 in Alum Bank, a daughter of the late Van P. and Viola C. (Myers) Westover.  On July 24, 1948 in Winchester, VA,  she married Robert E. Belles and he survives along with the following family: a son, Ray R. Belles married to the former Jean Allison of Alum Bank, a son, Gary A. Belles married to the former Joyce Whitaker of Bedford, a daughter, Karolyn K. wife of Alan Mock of Alum Bank, a son, Rodney K. Belles and wife Tina of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, seven grandchildren:  Roxanne Goughenour, Heather Miller, Amanda, Alicia, and Alaina Belles, Robert and Kayla Mock,  four step-grandchildren:  Eric, Justin, and Colton Lindley, and Karen Miller, six great grandchildren:  Kyla, Cady, Hailey, Nolan, Caiman, and Liliah, and one sister, Eleanore widow of  Paul Thomas of Akron, OH.  She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters, four step-brothers and sisters.

She attended Spring Meadow Family Worship Center.  She loved her Lord, her family, and working at the church especially in the kitchen.  Leona and her husband had just recently celebrated 60 years of marriage on July 24th.

Funeral Services:  Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at 11:00 AM at the Spring Meadow Family Worship Center with Pastor Gary Boor officiating.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.  Friends will be received on Tuesday from  2-4 and 7-9 PM, at the Timothy A.
