Laura Ann Miller, 45 of Pittsburgh, formerly of Bedford, died Saturday, April 3, 2004 at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born May 29, 1958 in Bedford, a daughter of Ronald C. and Louisa Jane (Bowers) Miller of Bedford. Along with her parents she is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Lana wife of Rodney Fisher of Bedford, Rev. Ronald Miller and wife Ann of State College, Lisa, wife of Scott Bischof of Spring Hope, Leslie, wife of Sam Whisel of Boiling Springs, Rev. Dr. Robert Miller and wife Amber of South Hadley, Mass., Louisa Jo, wife of David O’Brien III of Bedford, Dr. Leana, wife of Joby Topper of Ann Arbor, Mich., Rory Miller and Dr. Beth Clark of New Paris. Also 21 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister Cara Lynn. Laura was a 1976 graduate of Bedford High School and a graduate of Ohio University. After teaching high school in Moorefield, W.Va., she attended the University of Illinois, and was a Rhodes Scholar Nominee. She was formerly employed at JC Penny and presently was self-employed doing computer work.
Memorial services will be held Monday, April 12, at 11 a.m. at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, Bedford, with the Rev. Dr. M. Edgar Datesman officiating. Burial in the Bedford Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
