Larry W. Yantz

Larry W. Yantz, 74, of Bedford, died on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Harmony House Manor in Johnstown. He was born on November 2, 1950 in Cumberland, MD a son of the late Myron W. Yantz and Norma (Clark) Baker of Bedford. Along with his mother he is survived by a sister, Lisa J. Merritt widow of Roger of Bedford; a niece Calesa May Merritt also of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Goldie (Beegle) Clark.

Larry attended West Virginia and Shippensburg Universities and retired after 30 years as a history teacher with Bedford High School. He was a member of the historical arms society of Pittsburgh and was active in the Fort Bedford Museum form 1985- 2013. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, with Rev. David Weinhold officiating. Friends will be received on Monday, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home. Arrangements by Timothy A.
