Larry J. Sloan

Larry J. Sloan, 59, of Louisa, VA, went home with the Lord on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at his residence.  He was born on July 3, 1950, in Bedford, a son, of the late Robert C. and Josephine (Foor) Sloan.  On November 7, 2001 in Virginia he married his wife, Libby Wang and she survives along with the following brothers and sisters: Robert W. Sloan married to the former Judy Cornell, Darryl L. Sloan married to the former Lena Harr, Bernard C. Sloan married to the former Sherry Carney all of Pottstown, James L. Sloan of Everett, Lisa B. wife of David Hillegass of Osterburg, and B. Keith Sloan married to the former Donna Grimes of Hopewell.

After serving in the US Air Force, Larry went to the Assembly of God Bible College.  He worked as independent minister and missionary, and traveled to many countries, as a true disciple of Christ.  He preached by serving the poor and needy people and raised his missionary fund spending it all on helping them.   The most remarkable character of Larry is his earnest desire to love, serve and to give his all to his beloved savior Jesus Christ.  Larry and Libby relocated to Louisa, VA for the vision from God.  Libby will continue their mission until the day she is reunited with Larry in Heaven.

Funeral Services:  Thursday, September 17, 2009, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, with the Joseph Puleo officiating.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.  Friends will be received on Wednesday from 7-9 PM, and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
