Ladonna Marlene (Weber) May

LaDonna Marlene May 82, of Bedford, died Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Rebecca’s Personal Care Home.  She was born on August 30, 1937 in Bedford, a daughter of the late Frances and Margaret (Heming) Weber.  On June 27, 1959 in Bedford she married Tracy Lee May who preceded her in death on May 5, 2003.  She is survived by two sons: Gregory Lee May and wife Sherry, and Jeffrey Lee May widower of Julia, both of Bedford; three grandchildren: Amanda, Stephen, and Andrew.  She was preceded in death by four sisters: Helen Lightsey, Hilda Mardorff, Rita Richie, and Mary Popelish; and an infant brother.

Marlene attended the School of Nursing at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, and worked as a RN at Bedford Hospital, she then worked at Standard Register, and then Donahoe Manor from which she retired.  Marlene was a member of the Quilting Club, and enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, camping, and attending flea markets and yard sales.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Father Richard Tomkosky Celebrant.  Burial at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Friday, from 4-8 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com
