Kurt W. Moorhead

Kurt W. Moorhead 53, of Bedford, died Monday, January 15, 2018 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  He was born on January 17, 1964 in Everett, a son of John A. Moorhead surviving of Bedford, and the late Bonnie S. (Boor) Moorhead.  In addition to his father, he is survived by a sister, Melissa Flynn, of Bedford; two nephews: Trace Redmond of Ashville, NC, and Judson Redmond, of Dallas, TX; and a niece Quinn Redmond, of Bedford.

Kurt was born a “Rubella Baby” and those who did not know him might only see his disabilities.  However, folks lucky enough to talk to him, were blessed with his great affirmations and kindness, making their daily concerns seem petty and fade.  He was a blessing to all he met.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Stan Howes officiating.  Burial at Woods Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers those wishing may make memorial contributions in Kurt’s name to: Bedford County Humane Society, 1108 Lutzville Road, Everett, PA 15537.
