Kristy Dawn Feather

Kristy Dawn Feather, 43, of Hummelstown, formerly of Bedford, died on Friday September 20, 2019, at Tremont Nursing Home, in Tremont, PA. She was born on April 21, 1976, in Bedford, the daughter of Jack G. Feather  wife Patricia of Tombstone, AZ, and the late Yvonne Marie Hillegass. She is survived by the following family: a cherished sister Kerry Miller and husband T.J. of Bedford; a beloved nephew Brayden Thomas Miller of Bedford; an aunt Carol Faidley and husband Ray of Hummelstown; an uncle Alvin Feather and wife Sandy of Yorkhaven; maternal grandmother Stella Clark widow of Edmund "Bud" Clark of Bedford; and paternal grandmother, Ruby Crist widow of Charles “Bud” Christ of Bedford; and many cousins she interacted with during family gatherings.   She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather Dale G. Feather of Osterburg.

Kristy was of the protestant faith and relied on her faith throughout her illness. She worked as a pharmacy technician for Pinnacle Health in Harrisburg until 2015 when she was diagnosed with Cortical Basal Ganglionic Degeneration, a rare brain disorder.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2019, at 3:00 p.m., in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Rev. Paul Claycomb officiating.  Burial will be private. Friends will be received on Sunday, 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family prefers that anyone considering a donation in Kristy’s name would consider donating to Tremont Nursing Home, Activities Dept., 44 Donaldson Road, Tremont, PA 17981, as Kristy loved the activities at Tremont Nursing Home and was so well taken care of by the entire staff and was so comforted by the staff at Grane Hospice in her final days,  Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
