Kirby G. Wentz, 85 of Everett, died Thursday, September 1, 2016. He was born on October 4, 1930, in Alum Bank, a son of the late Soule and Goldie (Mock) Wentz. In December 1963 he married Katherine (Smethurst) who preceded him in death in November 1991. He is survived by four daughters, four sons, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, and sisters.
Kirby was an Army Veteran serving during the Korean War, receiving an honorable discharge at the rank of Private First Class. He then went on to work and retired from Bethlehem Steel. After retirement he enjoyed tending his garden and spending time with his friends. He was a member of the Pleasantville VFW Post #9219.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 12:00 p.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with full military rites conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
