Karen L. (Thompson) Shippey

Karen L. Shippey 70, of Manns Choice, died Friday, October 9, 2020.  She was born on July 17, 1950 in Bedford, a daughter of Carl and Betty (Calhoun) Thompson, of Bedford.  On December 26, 1970,  in Bedford, she married Larry Shippey, who survives along with a daughter, Marsha Blue and husband Richard, of Johnstown; a granddaughter, Amber Blue; a sister Sharon Telmanik, of Bedford; and two brothers: Joe Thompson and wife Terri, of Osterburg, and Wayne Thompson, of Schellsburg.

Karen was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, in Manns Choice, and helped with church activities and functions frequently.  She enjoyed her cats, and was a well-loved, kind hearted person. Karen will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew her.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Trinity United Church of Christ, in Manns Choice, with Pastor Cheryl Ward officiating.  Burial at Dry Ridge Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.
