Karen D. Price

Karen D. Price, 69, of Ellis Road, Schellsburg, died Saturday, August 16, 2014 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 28, 1945, in Bedford, a daughter of the late Thomas and Goldie (Dively) Holderbaum. On January 9, 1965, in Bedford, she married Richard W. Price who survives along with two daughters: Shane A. wife of Vincent D. Ricciardella of Brookville, MD, Darah L. wife of John J. Vienneau of Sykesville, MD; four grandchildren:  Justin and Jeremy Ricciardella and Hana and Tori Vienneau, one sister, Dawn Conover and husband James of Virginia Beach, VA; a special niece, Melanie LaBlanc of Alum Bank; and many other nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Claycomb.

Karen was a graduate of Bedford High School Class of 1963.  She loved animals especially her dogs and enjoyed painting.  She spent time volunteering in the Maryland City School District and with the Boys and Girls Club.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Daniel Stultz officiating.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.  Friends will be received on Tuesday, 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Those wishing may make memorial contributions in Karen’s name to the Humane Society of Bedford County, 1108 Lutzville Road, Everett, PA 15537.
