Kalyn E. Dorner

Kalyn E. Dorner, 17, of Woodland Ave., Bedford, died early Sunday morning at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, as the result of an automobile accident.  She was born March 7, 1994 in Harrisburg, daughter of Phillip D. and Mary (
Walton) Dorner.  Along with her parents, she is survived by a sister Kamryn B. Dorner and maternal grandmother, Geraldine Walton of Bedford and paternal grandparents, Paul V. and Patricia H. Dorner also of Bedford.

Kalyn was a member of the Bedford United Methodist Church.  She was a Junior at Bedford High School, where she served as Vice President of her class, and a member of the Yearbook committee.  She was also involved with the Bedford Area After 3 mentoring program.  She enjoyed art, and going to the beach with her family.

Funeral Services: Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. from the Bedford United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Welsch officiating.  Burial at Stevens Chapel Cemetery.

Friends will be received on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford. A memorial fund and a scholarship fund have been established at the First National Bank in Bedford in Kalyn’s name.  Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
