June M. Hauck, 71 of Maple Drive, Bedford, passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer, on Monday, January 11, 2016 at Windber Hospice, with her husband by her side. She was born on October 17, 1944 in Cumberland, MD, a daughter of the late Victor and Margaret (Donahoe) Perdew. On February 8, 1964, she married Kenneth E. Hauck by Father McConnell at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford. She is survived by her husband and a son, Randy Hauck married to the former Suzie Ickes, of Imler, and Candy, wife of Chris Claar, of Osterburg; two grandsons: Gregory and Logan Hauck; a twin sister, Janet wife of Tom Smith of Everett, a sister, Shirley wife of Mike College, of Georgetown, KY, a sister, Dianne wife of Norman Rose Jr., of Bedford, and a brother, Paul Perdew and wife Mary, of Bedford.
June was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church, and a proud member of the Red Hats. She was a graduate of Bedford High School Class of 1963 and enjoyed spending time with many of her classmates over lunch. June and Ken began their life together in New Jersey and eventually resided in Manns Choice for 32 years and then Bedford for 19 years. She was a dedicated employee of Hedstrom and retired after 32 years. She enjoyed scrap booking, tending to her flower garden, spending time with her family, watching her grandsons, Logan playing football, and with Gregory working around the house. She will be sadly missed by many friends, who she loved dearly.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., at the St. Thomas Catholic Church, in Bedford, with Father Donald Dusza Celebrant. Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park. Friends will be received on Thursday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.
