Julia E. Lesh

Julia E.”Dottie” Lesh, 81, of Hillview Nursing Home, formerly of Bedford died Thursday, June 28, 2007 at the nursing home.  She was born on December 21, 1925, a daughter of the late Alvie and Lena B. (Hall) Johnson. She was married to Kenneth F. Lesh who preceded her in death on June 15, 1987.  She is survived by a daughter, Sharon wife of Bruce Smith of New Paris, four grandchildren Michael Smith, Michelle wife of David Diehl, Terry Lesh and wife Kimberly, and Kris Lesh , and five great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two sons:  Terry & Kenneth Lesh, one grandson:  Kelly Lesh, three sisters:  Marie Wertz, Mary Ellen Mock, and Ruth Foor, and one brother:  Alvie Johnson Jr.

She was a member of the Bedford Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir and was active in the good cheer class and the women's circle. She was a waitressed at Ed's Steak House for many years, and prior to that worked at the upper Dairy Dell in Bedford.  She was a Gold Star mother and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary; she loved her church and enjoyed doing crafts.

Funeral Services on Monday, July 2, 2007, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with the Rev.
