J.T. Thompson

October 19, 1949 — November 28, 2003

J.T. “Tim” Thompson 54 of Richard Street, Bedford, died suddenly on November 28, 2003.  He was born on October 19, 1949 in Belmond, Iowa a son of Abraham Martin Thompson of Las Vegas, Navada, and the late Lois “Varo” Thompson.  On September 16 1978 at the St. Pauls Cathedral, in Pittsburgh, he married Connie O’Donnell who survives along with a son Ian Timothy Thompson at home, 1 sister Susan Berg and husband Keith of Ogden, Iowa, and 1 brother John Carl Thompson and wife Julie of Shoreview, Minnesota.  Tim was preceded in death by one infant sister Cecelia Thompson.

Tim was a devoted husband and father who will be sadly missed.  He

was a member of the NRA, and enjoyed his love for target shooting, he was a very creative inventor and a pilot.  Tim graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He worked at Bedford Materials for the past 20 years as a Facilities Engineer.

Funeral Mass:  December 6, 2003 at 10:00 AM from the St. Theresa Avila in Pittsburgh with the Father Bob Vular celebrant, Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Pittsburgh.  Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford.  Those wishing may make contributions to the Bedford Fire Department, P.O. Box 655, Bedford, Pa. 15522
