Joyce E. (Weyant) Burkett

Joyce E. Burkett 86, of Bedford, died Sunday, May 23, 2021 at her residence.  She was born on June 14, 1934 in Weyant a daughter of the late Russell E. and Margaret E. (Barefoot) Weyant.  She was married to William Burkett who preceded her in death.  She is survived by a daughter Deanna Lankey and husband William, of Buffalo Mills; two grandchildren: Jesse Lankey and girlfriend Alicia, and Kayla Lankey and boyfriend Todd; and six grandchildren: Savannah Oberman, Cheyenne Oberman, Dalton Lankey, Izaak Lankey, Landon Kumpf, and Jaydon Secrest.  She was preceded in death by a sister Sandra Ritchey; and three brothers: Otis, Dallas, and Lowell Weyant.

Joyce loved her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Richard Reed officiating.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.  Friends will be received one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
