Joyce L. Weiler, 71 of Belden Road, Bedford, Died Friday August 25, 2006 at Hershey Medical Center. She was born on May 5, 1935 in Bedford, a daughter of the late Ted A. and Bertha M (Bowser) Tew. On September 12, 1964 in Bedford, She married James M. Weiler who survives along with the following family a son,Roger married to the former Michelle Foor of Bedford, two daughters Elaine wife of Bob Allen of Belle Vernon, and Janice wife of Derek Germann of State College,five grandchildren: Benjamin Weiler, Madeline & Kaitlin Allen, Emily and Tyler Germann, two brothers John M. and Billy L. Tew, three sisters: Helen E.Calhoun, Nelda M. Myers, and Linda L. Fletcher. She was preceded in death by one brother Floyd B.Tew.
Mrs. Weiler was a member of Bedford United Methodist Church where she was an active volunteer with the Food Bank. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and making needlepoint and quilts for her family.
Service will be Tuesday 11:00 AM at the chapel of Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with the Rev. Jeff Welsch officiating. Friends will be received on Monday from 6-9 PM at the Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Internment will follow the service at Greenlea Cemetery, McAlevys Fort, Huntingdon County.
