Joyce A. Stahl

Joyce Ann Stahl, 79, of Hoagland Road, Bedford, went home to be with the Lord, on Thursday, May 15, 2014. She was born on December 28, 1934, in Blair County, a daughter of the late Paul L. and Geraldine "Deenie" (Burgoon) McManamy. On June 19, 1954, in Patton, she married Clyde D. Stahl who preceded her in death on September 10, 1986. She is survived by the following family: three daughters, Mary Jane wife of Duane Fetter, of Bedford;  Joy Kay Clark of Bedford; Susan K. wife of Randy Helsel of New Paris; a son, David Stahl of Bedford; nine grandchildren:  Meagan, Ian, Dylan, Morgan, Jacob, Devin, Rosalind, Kathleen wife of Dustin Feaster, and Danielle wife of James Garner; four great grandchildren:  Julia, Caleb, Noah, and Khloe.  She was preceded in death by a son, David Paul Stahl.

Joyce was a former member of the Bedford Bible Church.  She was a graduate of Altoona High School class of 1952.  Joyce and Clyde owned and operated a dairy farm.  They also were School Bus Contractors for the Bedford Area School District, and Joyce, continued bussing until her retirement in 2009.  She enjoyed playing the organ and being an Awana Leader for the children at her church.  She taught literacy, loved animals, her bible study, traveling and going out to eat with her family.  She was a devoted wife and mother, who loved her children and grandchildren and was known to them as “Muzz”.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Manns Choice Church of God, with Rev. Richard Whetstone officiating.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.  Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.  Arrangements by the Timothy A.
