Josephine M. Mckenzie

Josephine Mae McKenzie 83 of the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home died Thursday, March 28, 2002 at Bon Secure Holy Family Hospital in Altoona.  She was born on February 11, 1919 in Bedford, Pa. a daughter of the late Robert and Stella Cook.  On April 4, 1942 she married John H. McKenzie who preceded her in death on September 18, 1997. She is survived by the following sisters:  Irene Smith of Saxton.,  and Freda Cook of Curryville,  and a Nephew and Niece who were raised by their Aunt and Uncle, Leo McKenzie of Bedford, and Barbara Lutton of Rochester. also many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by 1 sister Mary Leonardi, 3 brothers Raymond Cook, William Cook , and Calvin Cook.

Mrs. McKenzie was of the Nazarene faith and a homemaker.

Funeral services Monday at 11:00 AM form the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with the Rev. Connie Dixon officiating burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  Friends will be received Monday 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
