Joseph W. Howsare

Joseph W. Howsare, 59, of North Main Street, Breezewood, died Saturday, June 1, 2013 at his residence. He was born on December 23, 1953, in Bedford, a son of the late Floyd J. and Laura G. (Boring) Howsare. On December 31, 1994, in Schellsburg, he married Melinda Hovatter and she preceded him in death on May 19, 2010. He is survived by two daughters Laura J. and Melissa J. Howsare, both of Breezewood, four brothers Edward "Pete" Howsare and wife Sandy of Clearville, Michael Howsare and companion Debra of Harrisburg, Samuel Howsare and companion Barb of Bedford, and Timothy Howsare and wife Linda of Rainsburg.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas W. Howsare.

Joseph worked for Sac Oil in Bedford for over 42 years. He was a former member of the Breezewood Vol. Fire Dept and enjoyed cooking, wood working, old cars, and watching NASCAR Racing.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Steve Salisbury officiating.  Burial at Sweet Root Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 9-11 at the funeral home.
