Joseph K. Diehl

Joseph K. Diehl, 74 of Pennknoll Village, formerly of Shamrock Lane, Bedford, died Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Pennknoll Village.  He was born August 7, 1936 in Colerain TWP, son of the late Claude D. “Pete” Diehl and Lyda “Pestie” (Ash) Diehl.  He is survived by three children; Jody wife of Philip Capizzi of Frederick, MD, Vada wife of Kerry Martin and Tracy Diehl Both of Bedford, six grandchildren; Kayla, Vincent and Casey Capizzi, Tyler B. Price, Kelly D. and Kara Lou Martin.  Also surviving is a brother Tommy D. Diehl and wife Alana of Meyersdale.  He was preceded in death by a son Kelly Lee Diehl and a brother Steve Diehl.

Mr. Diehl was affiliated with the Bedford United Methodist Church.  He was employed at various lumber mills, including Houseworth Lumber Co., for many years, until his retirement.  He enjoyed old movies, tractors and lawnmowers and dining at various locations in the county with people he loved.  His quiet way will be missed by all who loved him.

Funeral services: Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, with Rev. Paul Claycomb officiating.  Burial at Woods Church Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Monday form 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
