John H. Woodhall

John H. “Jack” Woodhall, 92, of S. Richard Street, Bedford, died Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home.  He was born on February 27, 1923, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late George H. and Margaret E. (May) Woodhall.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty M. Hasson, on May 30, 1980.  On September 19, 1981, in Schellsburg, he married Janet M. (Reid) Woodhall, who survives along with the following family: daughter Carol wife of Charles Steininger, two grandsons: Brian and Brandon Steininger; of East McKeesport, step-daughter, Jeanne wife of Frank Leon, step-son, Mark McAllister and wife Rumi, of Japan; five step-grandchildren: Ashley, Melissa, Simon, Alice, and Matthew; and a step-great-grandson, Blake.  He was preceded in death by a son John A. Woodhall, and a brother Robert E. Woodhall.

Jack was a member of the East End Baptist Church, in Pittsburgh, and the Buffalo Mills United Methodist Church.  Jack was a field representative for Automotive Ignition, and also drove Cart Van for the Area Agency on Aging.  He was a World War II Air Force Veteran, and a member of the American Legion Post #113, and Schellsburg VFW Post #4440.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at 1:00 p.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Rev. Mark Griffith, officiating.  Burial at Bedford Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Jack’s name to: Buffalo Mills United Methodist Church, c/o Richard Barkley, 5804 Diehl Road, Manns Choice, PA 15550.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com
