John W. Mcintyre

John W. McIntyre, 60, of Bedford, died on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. He was born on February 24, 1963, in Bedford, a son of John R. McIntyre and wife Sally of Bedford and Jane (Foster) Leppert widow Robert also of Bedford. Along with his parents he is also survived by a son, John Reese McIntyre of Bedford; a sister, Tracey Shontz of Bedford; a niece, Emmaline Shontz of Mechanicsburg; and a nephew, Benjamin Shontz of Bedford.

John graduated from Bedford High School in 1981, and worked for various manufacturing companies that included Cannondale and Rockland.  He enjoyed coaching his son’s baseball teams, golfing and at one time won the Iron Masters Invitational twice, and also bowled a perfect game.  He was a former member of the Elks, Bedford American Legion, and Moose. He was an avid Phillies and Colts fan and loved his animals.

Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford.
