John G. James

March 27, 1920 — October 22, 2001

John G. James 81 of Paradise Hill Drive, Everett died Monday October 22, 2001 at his home.  He was born on March 27, 1920 in Colerain TWP a son to the late Glenn A. and Mary Iva (Diehl) James.  On October 7 1939 in Cumberland Md. He married Dorothy M. Ritchey, and she survives along with the following children:  Beverly wife of Perry Shaffer of Schellsburg, Pa., Shirley wife of William R. Filer of Traffard, Pa., Carol wife of Stuart Marschall of Olathe, Kn., Dorothy of Phoenix, Az., John G. married to the former Barbara Zembower of Bedford, Pa., Patricia wife of Robert Head of Stafford, Va., Connie wife of Robert Mitchell of Bedford, Pa., John E. of Blandon, Pa., Yvonne wife of Brian Bowser of Alum Bank, Pa., Diane wife of Francis Stevey of Everett, Pa., David of Blandon, Pa., Todd married to the former Michele Bishop of Everett, Pa., Tim married to the former Kim Barkman, of Everett, Pa., Daniel of Everett, Pa., Mark married to the former Bobbi Jo Weist of Breezewood, Pa., Christine Hockenberry of Everett, Pa., 3 sisters:  Mary Hadley of Bedford, Pa., Annabelle wife of Leon Crist of Bedford, Pa., Margaret Verbeck of Willoughby, Oh.  31 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  Mr. James was preceded in death by a wife Barbara Bollyard on October 24, 1974 and 2 daughters Debbie and Susan, 1 son Joe and a sister Janet Smith.

Mr. James was of the Protestant faith and a lifetime Dairy farmer.

Funeral services Friday October 26, 2001 at 11:00 AM from the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with the Rev. Frank E. Wheeland officiating burial in Woods Church Cemetery.  Friends can be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
