John W. "Jack" Emery

John W. “Jack” Emery 82, of Bedford, died Friday February 4, 2022 at his residence.  He was born on December 16, 1939 in Rochester a son of the late Leland and Margaret (Hainey) Emery.  On June 30, 1959 in Cumberland, MD he married Barbara Lee (Noonen) Emery who survives along with two children: Mary Emery, of Altoona, and John Emery and wife Tracy, of Hainesport, NJ; four grandchildren: Kristin Long, Colin Emery, Ava Emery, and Zoe Emery; one great-grandson, Anthony Eberhardt; four brothers: Lee Emery and wife Patti, of Cape Corral, FL, Mark Emery, of Fairfax, VA, Tim Emery and wife Joyce, of Pittsburgh, and Larry Emery and wife Debbie, of Sarasota, FL.  He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Michelle Long, and a brother Robert Emery.

John was a store manager for JC Penney for 38 years before retirement.  He was the secretary of the Bedford Sportsmen’s Club for many years, and was a member of the NRA.  Besides always being by Barbara’s side, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, working at the sportsmen’s club, and serving people with all he had to give.  He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 7:00 p.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A.
