John Hooker, 65, of Bedford, died Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home. He was born on May 31, 1939 in Blanche, KY., a son of the late Floyd and Minnie (Rice) Hooker. He is survived by a son, Timothy A. Hooker married to the former Debra Keefer of Bedford, 2 daughters, Kim A. wife of Rick Timcik of Port Richey, FL, and Nona I. wife of Darryl Rose of Hahira, GA, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 Brother, Floyd Hooker Jr. of Pineville, KY, 2 Sisters, Brenda and Geraldine both of Pineville, KY, . He was preceded in death by 1 son: Johnny Hooker, 2 brothers: Woodson & Ephraim, and 2 sisters: Aileen & Louise.
He worked as a jeweler and owned Money’s Worth Jewelry, He was a member of the Bedford VFW Post #7527, Bedford Masonic Lodge #320 F& AM. He was faithful in his search for the Lord through the Bible, He loved to read and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying mushroom hunting and making guns.
Funeral Services are private, there will be no visitation. Arrangements by Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford.
