John A Feight Jr., 90, of Bedford, died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Meadow View Nursing Center, in Berlin. He was born on October 17, 1920, in Bedford, a son, of the late John A. and Nora (Clites) Feight. He is survived by a daughter, Mimi wife of Allen Graybill of Bedford, two granddaughters: Thea Graybill of Arlington, VA, and Dawn Michelle Alexander of Falls Church, VA, three great grandchildren: Henry, Ethan and Michael, two sisters, Emma widow of Mike Covert of Everett and Beverly wife of Ray Black of Hopewell and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Victoria A. Stigers, two brothers: Harry and Melvin, five sisters: Margaret, Dorothy, Frona, Shirley and Evelyn.
He was affiliated with the Wolfsburg Untied Methodist Church, and was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the Pacific Theatre. John enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, camping, outdoor activities, and model trains.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at 12:00 p.m., at Bedford County Memorial Park with Pastor Vicki Jordan officiating and military rites conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 10 am until the hour of the service at noon, from the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford.
