Joan K. (Knackstedt) Mumma

Joan K. Mumma, 81, formerly of Bedford, passed away May 3, 2016 in Louisville, KY. She was born on January 4, 1935, the fifth of nine children, to Edward and Ethyl Knackstedt. On December 18, 1954, in Camp Hill, she married J. Russel Mumma, who preceded her in death on November 6, 2012. She is survived by the following family: two daughters, Kathy McGeorge of Mechanicsburg, and Carol Kapsalis and husband Steve, of Louisville, KY, a son Richard Mumma and wife Kelly, of Dallas, TX; and five grandchildren: Lauren McGeorge, Dimitri Kapsalis, Christina Kapsalis, Melissa Kapsalis and Grant Mumma. A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Bedford Cemetery. Friends will be received on Monday from 11:00 a.m., until departure to the graveside, at the Timothy A.
