Jeanne M. (Knox) Turner

Jeanne M. Turner, 72, of Bedford, died on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 29, 1945, in Everett, a daughter of the late Leonard M. and Floy (Riley) Knox. She is survived by her Fiancée James L. Best, of Bedford, two sisters, Judy E. Weicht, of Bedford, and Nora G. Fleegle and husband Richard, of Hollidaysburg, and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by three brothers:  Quentin R., William E., and Leonard E. Knox.

Jeanne graduated from Bedford High School in 1962 and worked for Maures in Bedford.  She then attended and graduated a Beauty School in Maryland, and worked there as a teacher before starting her own Beauty Shop.  She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at Down River Golf Course.  She was very proud of her golfing accomplishments, and also enjoyed tennis and being outdoors.  She was very fond of her nieces and nephews.
