Janice L. Burtnett

Janice L. Burtnett, 55, of Dutch Corner, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at her home.  She was born April 3, 1956 in Bedford, daughter of Franklin W. Hershberger of Bedford and the late Betty J. (Boore) Hershberger.  On July 29, 1990, at Raystown Lake, she married Arthur Burtnett Sr. and he survives along with a daughter Lindsey, wife of Michael P. Gallagher of Roaring Spring, a step son Arthur Burtnett Jr. of Bedford, two grandchildren Austin and Kyra and her dog Ginger.  Also surviving are two brothers; Jeff Hershberger, married to the former Marsha Smith of Everett, Joel Hershberger, married to the former Sandy Bender of Bedford and a sister Julie wife of Ken Recker of Everett.

Janice was a member of the Bedford United Methodist Church.  She was a 1974 graduate of Bedford High School and attended Wilma Boyd Career School in Pittsburgh.  She worked as a recruiter for Smith Transport in Roaring Spring since 1998.  She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend who was greatly loved and will be long remembered by everyone who knew her.  Thanks for sharing a wonderful life with me, from your husband Art.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev.
