Jane Bracken

Jane Bracken 66 of West 5th Ave., Everett, formerly of Bedford, died Monday, October 26, 2009 at her residence.  She was born, December 5, 1942 in Johnstown, daughter of Ann Catherine (Robertson) Troska of Johnstown.  She was first married to Richard Showalter and he preceded her in death in 1987.  One April 4, 2005 in Winchester, VA, she married Gail K. Bracken Sr., and he survives along with five children: Cherie, wife of Rob Campbell of Augusta, GA, Robin Showalter, of San Antonio, TX, Wendy wife of Mark Lehker of Houston, TX, Shawn Patrick Showalter, married to the former Misty Rhodes of Reynoldsdale, and Holly Ann Bracken of Tampa Bay, FL.  Also surviving are eight grandchildren and a brother Phillip Troska of Johnstown, and a sister Beth Ann Kearley of Pensacola, FL.  She was preceded in death by a brother Jeff and one son David Allen Showalter.

Mrs. Bracken was a member of Mt. Union Methodist Church in Lovely.  She worked as the secretary at the Bedford County Veteran’s Affairs Office in Bedford.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 556 in Six Mile Run.

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday evening, October 28, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford with Rev. John R.
